A three-room evening cocktail lounge and art salon set inside a historic Greenwich Village townhouse where a velvet curtain entry leads to an intimate parlor with an original fireplace, moiré-print wallpaper, and chocolate velvet banquettes, then unfolds into a plum velvet salon with bronze ceilings and cut-glass light fixtures casting mysterious glimmers throughout. The soaring back gallery centers on a massive bar fashioned from a 19th-century French bookshelf, flanked by rotating contemporary artworks paying homage to the legendary Downtown Gallery that once occupied the space from 1926 to 1940.
