Ladder 4
Detroit, MI

A 1910 firehouse transformed into a wine bar where the vintage fireman's pole still stands as a quirky centerpiece beneath soaring bay doors and original wooden beams. The meticulously restored historic brick building preserves white crackle-glazed walls, a green archway, and red line striping while adding a striking black stained reeded bar with marble top and communal tables crafted from salvaged local marble. Schoolhouse fixtures, custom metal and glass shelving, and a striped banquette on the rooftop patio blend Detroit heritage with European finesse, creating a warm gathering spot.
