Bemelman's Bar
The Carlyle, New York City, NY

A favorite of Upper East Siders and visitors alike since 1947, Bemelmans Bar is a special hideaway where artist and author Ludwig Bemelmans’ whimsical illustrations come to life. Best remembered for his beloved Madeline series of children’s books, the murals are the only public surviving commission of his work. Guests can enjoy classic cocktails while swinging to lively music, including performances by Earl Rose, Rob Mosci, and Loston Harris.

A $10 per person cover charge is applied when the pianist begins at 5:30 p.m. and the following cover charges are applied when the jazz trio begins, *depending on the artist:
Tables: $25–$35* per person
The bar: $15–$20* per person

*Kindly note that Bemelmans Bar has a smart dress code policy. From 5:30 p.m. nightly, collared shirts are required for men and no shorts or hats are allowed.
