Albi
Washington, DC

Chef Michael Rafidi's Michelin-starred restaurant where a roaring wood-fired hearth anchors the open kitchen, its flames and smoke visible from nearly every seat as the scent of live-fire cooking fills the glass-fronted space. Yellow floor-to-ceiling curtains now warm the dining room's round walnut tables, while embroidered artwork from Palestinian-American artist Jordan Nassar adds cultural resonance to the modern space softened by distressed wood paneling and richly colored tile.
